Hello, Square Home users!

I'm excited to introduce two powerful new features in this update (v3.4) that will maximize convenience and add stunning visual depth to your home screen: Global Search and Glass Edge.

Let's dive into how your home screen experience has evolved!


1. Everything in One Place: Global Search

No more digging through the app drawer to find an app or opening the contacts just to find someone. Now, you can find everything at once right within Square Home.

• Unified Search Experience: Find installed apps, contacts, and even system settings with a single search.

• Web Search Integration: If the information isn't on your device, it seamlessly connects you to installed apps like Google Search, Play store, YouTube, Spotify, Wikipedia, Maps and Uber for a continuous search experience.

• Quick Access: Just add it as a page on your home screen—it is the fastest path to the information you need.

Now, "Searching" is one of the things Square Home does best.

2. Adding Depth to Tiles: Glass Edge

This is a new style option that elevates Square Home's iconic 'tile' design to a new level of luxury.

• Brilliant Light Refraction: It creates an effect as if light is refracting along the edges of the tile, giving it the premium look of thick glass.

• The Perfect Combination: This effect harmonizes beautifully when paired with the 'Blur', 'Grayscale', or 'Refraction' background effects.

   - Try selecting one of these three background effects and applying Glass Edge.

   - You will experience a sophisticated home screen with deep, jewel-like tiles.

• How to Set Up: Go to Home options > Tile size & style, set your background effect to one of the three mentioned above, and then toggle on the Glass edge option.

Live Tiles

Live tile  is one of the most attractive features of Windows phone. It displays continuously useful information on tiles in real time with charming animations. There are several ways to make tiles "Live" on Square home as well. I'm sure you could make your home awesome by applying the following ways. 1. Displaying notifications on tile When you get a notification from an app, you should expand the notification panel from the status bar to see the content. Now you do not have to pull down the status bar anymore because Square home displays the notification on the app tile that is added into your page.
