Some users  ask why their selection using the sorting button on the bottom menu bar of the App drawer (or Contacts) is not saved. To put it simply, this is because that button was implemented to be used for "temporary sorting." For example, if you're curious about which apps have been recently updated, you can easily check by selecting "Recently updated." To "permanently" set the sorting order of the App drawer or Contacts, you can go to the Home options, navigate to the App drawer or Contacts section, and select "Sort order." Square Home provides powerful backup and restore features through the Backup Center. The Backup Center can be accessed from the menu or the Home options. Click the "+ button" at the bottom to create a backup, and all data including the currently set layout, options, folders, and categories will be saved. To restore the created backup, click the backup name. Uncheck (default) the box below to restore the folders and categories at the time of backup creation. If checked, the current folders and categories will be maintained. When the backup is restored, third-party shortcuts or widgets will need to be reconfigured. This is because the actual data for the shortcuts or widgets is on the third-party app side, and Square Home cannot save them when backing up. If you restore a backup from another device, you may need to adjust the Tile size because the dpi of the screen is different. This post explains how the wallpaper works with the tile background effects. The "System wallpaper" is a normal Android wallpaper system and you can see that in your lock screen or in even another launcher after selecting it. The "App wallpaper" is applied only inside of Square home app but you can use some beautiful tile background effects on it. Square Home currently supports a total of five tile background effects. Go to Home options > Tile sizes and styles > Background effect and select one of the following effects. 1. No effect This is the default value when you first install the launcher. You can disable the wallpaper or use System wallpaper or App wallpaper to use this effect. If you disable the wallpaper, it uses a black background color, which you can change in Home options > Behavior and UI > Background color. It looks a bit boring at first, but you can use different tile colors and rounded corners to create a nice screen like this. Background ...

There's a great news! A new update (v2.2) has been released and it starts supporting foldable devices finally. As you know, the previous versions already support different layouts for different screen orientation. When you set "Screen orientation" to "Same as system", you can layout the tiles differently for the portrait and the landscape mode. Layout transition on screen rotation For a foldable device like Samsung Fold 2, you should have enabled "Tablet mode" that supports horizontal scrolling to use the launcher properly. You know, it's not good enough though. The new update supports the different screen size, for folded and unfolded, in the same way while "Tablet mode" is off.
